Our PDF merger allows you to combine multiple PDF files into a single document. Select up to 10 PDF files, arrange them in your desired order, and merge them into a single optimized PDF in seconds. Ideal for consolidating reports, invoices, contracts, or any type of documentation.
The merging process is fast and maintains the quality of all original documents:
Upload up to 10 PDF files that you want to combine. Each file can be up to 20MB and contain any number of pages.
Arrange the files in the order you want them to appear in the final document. You can drag and drop to reorder easily.
Our system extracts all pages from each PDF preserving formatting, images, hyperlinks, and embedded fonts from each original document.
Combines all pages into a single PDF respecting the order you selected, maintaining original page orientation (portrait or landscape).
Optimizes the final file to reduce size without compromising quality, generating a single professional PDF ready to download and share.
The merging process is lossless, meaning text remains in vector format (searchable and selectable) and images maintain their original resolution. There's no quality degradation like in image conversions.
If the original PDFs have bookmarks (internal navigation index), we try to preserve them in the merged document, adding prefixes to identify which PDF each bookmark came from.
The final PDF includes basic metadata: creation date, number of pages, and file size. You can edit this metadata later in any PDF editing software.
The resulting file size is approximately the sum of all original files (minus some compression optimization). If the result is too large, consider using our PDF compression tool afterwards.
Combining PDFs is useful in countless professional and personal situations:
**Complete Legal Files**: Lawyers merge contracts, annexes, evidence, and legal documentation into complete files for presentation in courts or client submission.
**Financial Reports**: Accountants combine monthly invoices, receipts, bank statements, and tax supporting documents into consolidated packages for audits or tax filing.
**Project Portfolios**: Designers, architects, and creatives unify projects, sketches, proposals, and final work into a single portfolio to present to clients or in job interviews.
**Academic Work**: Students combine essay chapters, appendices, bibliography, and supplementary materials into a single document for thesis or final project submission.
**Technical Manuals**: Companies combine user manuals, technical specifications, installation guides, and warranty documents into complete product documentation packages.
**Verify page order before merging**: Review the order of files carefully before clicking merge. Once the PDF is generated, you'd need to repeat the process to change the order.
**Maintain visual consistency**: If possible, try to merge PDFs with similar formatting (same margins, fonts, sizes) to achieve a more professional and cohesive final document.
**Use descriptive file names**: Before merging, rename your PDFs with numbers or prefixes (01-intro.pdf, 02-chapter1.pdf) to easily identify them and organize them in the correct order.
**Compress after merging if necessary**: If the final PDF is too large for emailing, use our compression tool after merging to reduce size without significant quality loss.
**Add cover page separately**: Consider creating a professional cover page in Word or PowerPoint, converting it to PDF, and placing it first when merging to give a more professional touch to the final document.
You can merge up to 10 PDF files, each up to 20MB. The total number of pages can be thousands. If you need to merge more files, you can do it in two rounds: first merge files 1-10, then merge the result with files 11-20.
No, PDFs with editing or copying password protection cannot be merged. You'll need to remove the password first using the original password before merging.
Yes, internal hyperlinks (between pages of the same PDF) and external (to websites) are preserved. Note that internal links might not function correctly if they reference pages from different original PDFs.
The merge is final. If you need to remove specific pages, use our "Delete PDF Pages" tool on the resulting merged PDF, or repeat the merge without the unwanted PDF.
